On Veterans Day, CDN Systems joins America in saluting our brave men and women in uniform. Veteran's Day is celebrated on November 11th and was originally called Armistice Day to commemorate the fallen soldiers of World War I. The date was chosen to coincide with the cessation of hostilities between the Allied nations and Germany in World War I, which occurred on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. In 1954, the name of the holiday was changed to Veterans Day and now honors all veterans including the approximate 20 million living in the United States today.
